As a Staff Backend Engineer (m/f/d), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing our backend architecture. You will lead the development of scalable, high-quality software while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with frontend and other system components.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and microservices.
• Drive technical decisions and define best practices for backend architecture.
• Implement clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to develop integrated solutions.
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Ensure a high level of security and data protection.
• Utilize cloud technologies and DevOps tools to streamline development and deployment processes.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and mentoring of junior developers.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend development, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong proficiency in at least two backend programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go) and one scripting language.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-based infrastructures (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience working with event-driven architectures, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of NoSQL and relational databases.
• Experience with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with full-stack development.
• Knowledge of AI/ML technologies and data engineering.
• Hands-on experience with high-traffic, data-intensive applications.
• Previous experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical projects.
